1. When will the conference be held and what is the time frame?
The conference will begin on Sunday, March 8th, 2009 with a Student Leadership Institute and culminate with a Grand Gala on the evening of March 9th, 2009. The conference will begin at 9:00 am on Sunday, March 8th and end after lunch on March 10, 2009.

2. Where can I stay if attending from out of town?
Guests should make hotel reservations at the Doubletree Hotel in Sacramento, CA.

Note: Reservations can be made via phone at (916) 929-8855 or on-line using the EOP Conference Convention page at Doubletree Hotel Sacramento.

Please use Group Code: EOP to get the special rate.

3. How do I register for the conference?
You can register on-line by completing your registration on the conference registration tab.

4. What is the registration fee for the conference?
Conference Fee (Early Bird Rate) $300 by January 26th
Conference Fee (Late Registration Rate) $350 after January 26th

Note: After the early bird registration deadline is reached, no refunds will be allowed.

5. What is the deadline to register?
The deadline to register is February 16th, 2009.

6. Will parking be provided and how do I navigate the hotel?
Parking at the hotel site is currently free of charge.

7. How can payments be made?
Payments can only be made by check or money order. We currently are not accepting debit or credit cards. Checks should be made payable to CSU, Sacramento and mailed directly to the Educational Opportunity Program Office at 6000 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95819-6068 and be addressed attention Anne Cheng.

8. What meals will be provided?
The conference will include breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Sunday for the students. For faculty, staff and community partners, the conference meals will include a dinner reception on Sunday evening and breakfast, lunch and dinner on the remaining two days of the conference.

9. What airport should I fly into if traveling by air?
You should fly into the Sacramento International Airport. The common air carrier used is Southwest Airlines which can be found in Terminal A. The airport is roughly 30-40 minutes from the hotel depending on the traffic. For additional airport information, please visit the website at airports.co.sacramento.ca.us/int/

10. Are there special accommodations for persons with disabilities or persons with special dietary needs?
Yes, please inform us of your needs and we will try to accommodate your request.

11. Is there shuttle service from my hotel?
You will have to arrange travel to and from your hotel and the airport. Please note that taxi, rental car, and Super Shuttle are recommended. Note: There is a complimentary shuttle that will provide travel to key attractions near the hotel within a 3 mile radius upon availability.

12. Who can attend the conference?
Anyone can attend so long as they register for the conference. Community Colleges, CSU faculty and staff, student para-professionals, Sac State Alumni and other guests.

13. Can I submit a conference proposal?

14. When will I find out if my proposal is accepted for presentation?
Notification will be sent out regarding proposals in December.

15. What if I have special equipment requests for my presentation?
Conference presenters must bring their own laptops, but projectors and other audio-visual equipment will be provided as a part of the conference.
