Proposal to Fund Community Building Activities Form

Guidelines

Limited funds are available for faculty to participate in extra curricular team building activities during the Fall semester. A maximum of $300 may be requested by each Learning Community for the Fall semester. Amounts approved in excess of $300 are subject to approval and availability of funds and contingent on the number of students enrolled in your learning community. You are strongly urged to select FREE on campus events as your first option.

Appropriate use of funds include:

purchase of tickets to on campus sporting/theater events, guest speakers, etc.
the campus ropes course
classroom materials such as videos, references or on-line services; class project materials, etc.

Note: All events are subject to approval by the AVP for Student Academic Success/LC Coordinator.

Proposals will be reviewed as they are received. Funds will be awarded on a first come first serve basis. Applications MUST be received by September 23rd to ensure the event occurs early in the semester for the purpose of building community. Given the number of events in December, funds will not be approved for this month and thus all events should occur between September and November prior to Thanksgiving Break. (You are encouraged to get student feedback before selecting an event).

Funds for Learning Community Activities will not be released for your events until October 3rd. Please plan accordingly.

(Note: If you are requesting reimbursement for materials or services purchased you will need to submit a receipt and a copy of this approved application to receive payment).

If yes, please take photos and be sure to send them to watsonml@csus.edu upon the event’s completion. These photos are needed for our website and program advertisements.
