How long is Summer Bridge?
Summer Bridge is a six-week intensive academic program which runs from June 29th through August 4, 2017.



Who can participate in Summer Bridge?
SBA 2017 is mandatory for all incoming Sac State first-time freshmen who are admitted to EOP.



When does Summer Bridge begin and/or end?

SBA begins with the New Student Orientation on June 27 and 28. Classes begin on June 29th
SBA begins on June 29th and ends on August 4, 2017



At what time do classes start and end?
Classes begin at 8:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. Some student schedules may vary.



How much does Summer Bridge cost?
Summer Bridge Academy is a FREE six-week program. We provide textbooks and parking permits for students who are admitted to the program.



How long is Summer Bridge?

This summer, classes will be offered Monday-Friday.



Is Orientation Mandatory?
Yes, students must register for both Orientation days June 27th - 28th on the CSUS Orientation website http://www.csus.edu/orientation/



What are the courses offered during SB?
Remedial math and college level English, math, GE courses, and some leadership courses are offered. Students are placed in these courses based on their ELM/EPT scores.



Do remedial courses count for credit?
They count for credit but not for graduation.



Do I get credit for passing the SB courses?
Yes, students who pass the courses offered in Summer Bridge will receive college credit.



Can I work while participating in the program?
We highly recommend that students do not work during Summer Bridge since students will have an intense, academic work load.



Does Summer Bridge provide housing?
NO, Summer Bridge does NOT provide housing. Students are responsible for locating, securing, inspecting, and paying for their own living accommodations and transportation during the 6-week program.



I have been admitted to EOP, what classes will I be taking during Summer Bridge?
You will be placed in Mathematics or English course based on your ELM and EPT scores as well as a Leadership course. Some students may be placed in a General Education course.



Can I miss any classes?
You are not allowed to miss any classes during Summer Bridge. If you have to miss class due to an emergency, make sure you notify your instructor. One day of class is equivalent to 3 class sessions.



Do I have to purchase Summer Bridge textbooks?
You do not need to purchase your books. EOP will provide the books you will need for your courses which you have to return on August 2, 2017.



When do I get my Summer Bridge textbooks?
You will receive your books the first day of classes. Books must be returned by date pending.



Can I change my class schedule for Summer Bridge?
No, your schedule was selected based on your EPT and ELM scores.



When do I get my grades for Summer Bridge?
Your instructors and EOP will let you know your grade late August. They will be placed on your transcript at the end of the fall semester.
