Students may work with a community agency, community organization, or other site with instructor approval. Project Description: CHDV 133 students will provide the organization a report that addresses specifical research questions designed by the community organization. The organization will use the outcome of the reports to make adjustments to their programs based on evidence. CHDV 133 students will be tasked with critiquing questionnaires, analyzing qualitative data collected by program staff, and writing up the results of the research study using APA style. Thus, students will engage in many steps that a professional researcher conducts.

Project Description: Project Goals: To promote and foster the development of CAMP students through training, professional development, and relationship building. The CAMP Scholars Internship Program will place talented CAMP students who have shown great leadership potential in government, business and nonprofit organizations to prepare them for positions of leadership. Learning Objectives: - To examine leadership and public policy within the context of a changing contemporary multicultural and multiethnic society. - To increase professional knowledge and contacts while learning desirable lifelong skills. - Complete 12 hours of service learning (per week for 12 weeks per semester for an academic year) acquired by internship experience.
